Commercial model
Current default: 15% platform commission on the initial consultation fee (typical consultation fee ₹1,500–₹3,000, so ₹225–₹450 platform share). Follow-up engagement is priced per scope between you and the customer with no Sevantay commission — we route, and the relationship is yours to manage.

Bar Council registration
Active Karnataka Bar Council enrolment with current good standing. Enrolment number required during onboarding.
Practice years
Minimum 3 years of practice experience.
Practice area focus
Defined practice area focus across one or more of: property, family, consumer, contract, succession. We route by declared practice areas.
Office
A practice address in Bangalore, or established remote-consultation infrastructure (video calling discipline, calendar booking).
Identity, address, and Bar proof
Aadhaar, PAN, Bar Council enrolment certificate, GST registration (if applicable).
What is expected of the partner
Honest advisory
Customers expect a clear answer about whether they have a problem, not an upsell into a long engagement. Honest advisory builds repeat referrals; pushy upsells damage the network.
No conflict of interest
Standard professional conduct. If a customer routed to you would conflict with another client, route the customer back through Sevantay.
Confidentiality
Standard professional confidentiality. Sevantay does not access engagement content; we only know that a routing happened.
Pricing clarity
Consultation fee and follow-up engagement scope explained transparently to the customer at the start.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to take litigation cases?▾
No. Sevantay routes advisory and pre-litigation customers. If a routed customer needs litigation and you do not handle litigation, hand off cleanly back through Sevantay.
How is the consultation fee paid?▾
Customer pays the consultation fee through Sevantay's quote at routing time. Follow-up engagement is between you and the customer directly.
Can I decline a routed customer?▾
Yes — for conflict of interest, scope mismatch, or capacity reasons. Communicate quickly so we can route to another partner.
Does Sevantay take a cut of follow-up engagement?▾
No. Platform commission applies only to the initial routing/consultation. Follow-up engagement is your direct relationship with the customer.
What about advertising my practice through Sevantay?▾
Sevantay routes customers; we do not run lawyer ads. Your practice profile is internal and shown to routed customers; we do not market practitioners externally.
Multi-city or only Bangalore?▾
Initial routing is Bangalore-focused. As we expand to Chennai/Hyderabad/Mumbai/Trivandrum, we will onboard local advocates separately.
