The opportunity
Document logistics is a quietly foundational gap in Bangalore's government services workflow. Rental agreements need landlord and tenant signatures across two ends of the city. Apostille agents need to move documents between customers, the HRD office, and the MEA Branch Secretariat. Notaries need original documents delivered before scheduled appointments. Legal matters need executed copies returned to both parties.
Most of these movements happen via informal networks — a runner the agent knows, a friend who delivers, a customer who comes back themselves. This is unreliable and unbillable. Sevantay routes structured document logistics work to courier partners who can handle pickup, in-transit custody, and proof-of-delivery as a professional service.
If you operate a local courier business, hyperlocal delivery network, or two-wheeler delivery setup with the discipline to handle sensitive documents, Sevantay is a steady source of zone-based pickup-delivery jobs.
What Sevantay delivers to courier partners
| Lead volume range | 15–40 deliveries per month per active partner (grows with multi-zone coverage) |
|---|---|
| Customer profile | Sevantay's own service partners (notaries, apostille agents, e-stampers, document writers) routing customer document movements; direct customer flows for standalone document delivery |
| Document types | Rental agreements, notarised affidavits, e-stamps, executed contracts, apostille documents, RTO paperwork |
| Service area coverage | By zone within Bangalore; same-day or next-day delivery SLAs |
| Onboarding speed | 2 working days for verified courier partners |
| Insurance and liability | Document custody insurance preferred; minimum proof-of-delivery process is mandatory |
Commercial model
Current default: 12% platform commission on top of your per-delivery service charge — you set the delivery price; the customer-paid total is your charge plus the platform fee. For Bangalore reference, typical service charges in this category run ₹120–₹180 for in-zone same-day, ₹250–₹400 for cross-zone, ₹400–₹600 for next-day, and ₹600–₹1,200 for inter-city same-day. These ranges are partner-set, not Sevantay-imposed — distance, fuel, and document liability all factor in. Settlement weekly (every Friday) on deliveries with confirmed proof-of-delivery.
No joining fee, no subscription.

Signed receipt or photo confirmation on delivery. We will share a simple template during onboarding.
In-transit custody discipline

Insurance or liability awareness
Document insurance is recommended for high-value documents (originals of birth certificates, marriage certificates, property documents). Minimum: clear written acknowledgement of liability scope.
SLA commitment
Same-day or next-day delivery within zone. Weekly window deliveries for non-urgent flows.
Communication
Reachable on WhatsApp; ability to send pickup/delivery confirmations promptly.
What is expected of the partner
Custody discipline
Documents are sensitive. Pickup acknowledged in writing or by photo. Delivery acknowledged by signed receipt. No exceptions.
On-time SLA
When you commit to same-day or next-day, deliver on it. Communicate proactively if traffic, weather, or operational issues delay you.
Customer tone
Professional handoff to the customer. You represent Sevantay and the partner who originated the routing.
No document loss
Lost documents are catastrophic for customers. Partners who lose documents are immediately reviewed and may be paused. We expect zero-loss process discipline.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to cover all of Bangalore?▾
No. Single-zone or multi-zone coverage is fine — declare what you can serve reliably and we route accordingly.
What about inter-city courier (Bangalore to other Karnataka cities)?▾
Yes — inter-city courier is part of the routing mix, especially for apostille and legal flows. Tell us during onboarding which inter-city routes you handle.
Are walk-in or scheduled-only deliveries the model?▾
Both. Some flows need scheduled pickup at a specific time (e.g. notary appointment); others are weekly batch pickups from a partner office. We will agree the model per partner relationship.
What about insurance for high-value documents?▾
Recommended for originals (birth/marriage certificates, property documents). Most working couriers have annual document insurance for ₹10–25k that covers liability up to a per-document threshold.
Are two-wheeler-only operations acceptable?▾
Yes for in-zone deliveries. Inter-city or larger-document flows may need four-wheeler capacity.
How is settlement structured?▾
Weekly settlement, with delivery-receipt-confirmed deliveries counted in the weekly batch.
