Commercial model

Current default: ₹100 platform fee per simple document (affidavit, declaration, rental agreement); ₹250 for complex deeds (sale deed, partnership deed, gift deed, will). Drafter retains the full service charge above that. Settlement on delivery of the final accepted document, batched into the weekly Friday settlement run.

Drafting experience

Minimum 1 year of document drafting experience with at least 75 completed documents across rental, deed, affidavit, or agreement categories.

Template discipline

Working library of clean templates for common document types. Sample drafts requested during onboarding.

Drafting accuracy

Standard clauses correctly stated; no copy-paste errors carrying old party names; correct stamp duty and instrument type references.

Turnaround

Standard documents within 24 hours; complex documents within 2–3 working days.

Bilingual capability (preferred)

English drafting required; Kannada drafting capability is a plus and a routing advantage.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be a lawyer to be a Sevantay document writer partner?

No. Document writing is procedural and does not require legal qualification. Many of our partners are typist firms or experienced document writers without formal legal credentials.

Can I draft in Kannada?

Yes. Kannada drafting is welcome and we route Kannada-preferring customers to bilingual partners.

What about complex deeds (e.g. high-value sale deeds)?

Complex deeds can be in scope but typically pair with a legal consultant for clause review. We route accordingly.

How is settlement structured?

Settlement on delivery of the final accepted document. Weekly settlement batches.

Can I take direct customers?

Yes — your direct practice is fully your own.

What about disputed drafts or unhappy customers?

Sevantay's customer-facing team handles dispute discussion; you handle the technical revision. If the dispute is on quality, partners are expected to make it right.
