The opportunity
Notarisation is one of the highest-frequency, lowest-friction touchpoints in citizen government services. Almost every legal document — rental agreement, affidavit, power of attorney, name change application, gazette filing — passes through a notary at some point. The work is brief per document but volume is high, and the customer rarely shops on price.
Sevantay routes notarisation demand from rental agreements, gazette filings, apostille pre-steps, and standalone affidavit requirements. Our first onboarded partner is a Bangalore-based lawyer-notary, and the notary category is one of the most validated demand categories on the platform — citizens reaching Sevantay for a rental agreement need notarisation; citizens applying for a name change gazette need a notarised affidavit; citizens needing apostille pre-attestation need notarised copies.
If you are a government-appointed notary in Bangalore with the capacity to handle 30–80 notarisations per month and the patience to handle scheduled appointments rather than walk-ins only, Sevantay is a high-frequency referral channel.

Onboarding requirements
Before you apply, please confirm you meet these baseline requirements.
Government appointment
Active notary appointment by the Government of Karnataka or Government of India. Appointment letter and current validity required during onboarding.
Office
A practice address in Bangalore where customers can attend for notarisation. Sevantay shares your declared address with routed customers.
Capacity
Ability to handle scheduled appointments through the day, not only walk-ins. We coordinate appointment slots when routing customers.
Documentation discipline
Standard notarial register, stamp, and seal usage. Sevantay-routed jobs need a numbered register entry like any other notarial work.
Communication
Reachable on WhatsApp during practice hours.
What is expected of the partner
Appointment reliability
When Sevantay schedules a customer for a slot, we expect the slot to be honoured. Reschedules happen — communicate at least 4 hours in advance through Sevantay.
Customer tone
Professional and brief. Notarisation is procedural; customers appreciate notaries who respect their time.
Fee transparency
Standard notary fee per document type, agreed during onboarding, locked for at least 90 days.
No unrelated upsells
Notary partners do not solicit customers for unrelated legal work during a Sevantay-routed appointment. If a customer needs additional services, route them back through Sevantay.

Frequently asked questions
What's the typical fee per notarisation?▾
Notarisation fees are governed by the Notaries Rules and partner-specific service additions. We will agree a transparent per-document fee during onboarding that is published to the customer at quote time.
Do I have to handle all document types?▾
No. Most notaries handle the standard pool — affidavits, rental agreements, gazette declarations, power of attorney. Tell us if you specifically do not handle certain categories (e.g. commercial agreements above a threshold value).
Can I do mobile/onsite notarisation for Sevantay customers?▾
If you offer mobile notarisation, mention it during onboarding. We route mobile-eligible jobs to mobile-capable notaries, and customers pay a higher service fee that includes the visit charge.
What about apostille pre-step notarisation?▾
Yes — pre-apostille notarisation of personal and commercial documents is high-frequency. We coordinate the customer flow between you and the apostille agent.
Do I need GST registration?▾
Not mandatory for individual notaries operating below the GST threshold. If you cross the threshold, GST is needed for invoicing through Sevantay.
Can I take direct customers without involving Sevantay?▾
Yes, your direct practice is fully your own. Only Sevantay-routed customers run through the Sevantay process.
How fast is settlement?▾
Weekly settlement is the default. We also support immediate settlement for partners who prefer pay-per-notarisation, with a small handling adjustment.
